Hmong Repartriation -12-29-2009
For this government, 2009 ended on a low point with the forced repatriation of 4,000 Hmong refugees to Laos, where they will face persecution and even death. Why would the PM, who was educated in the UK, agree to such a thing?
The UN High Commission on Refugees lists Laos in its "Worst of the Worst 2009". It states: "Laos is not an electoral democracy. Government regulation of virtually every facet of life provides corrupt officials with many opportunities to demand bribes ... Mission Statement
Haiv Hmoob Radio (HHR) is an independent radio station via alyx-Yeyi. We broadcast in five different countries: China, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. The HHR is to entertain, broadcast news, and educate the Hmong People around the world on Hmong culture and education in the Hmong language to promote the Hmong Language and education system so that Hmong can be unify as one Hmong and one spirit. HHR pursues the following purposes: _ Broadcasting International News about Hmong _ Educate Hmong in the Hmong culture system _ Promote the Hmong traditional music, folk song, flute, poetry, etc. _ Teach the Hmong Pahauh Literacy (the original Hmong writing system), Story, and History to maintain Hmong cultural heritage, value, and identity. _ Discussion of Human Rights, Political Issues in general.
